We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 6/91 Adopting the Administrative Division of the Sultanate and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 8/92 Issuing the Muscat Municipality Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Article 8 of the Muscat Municipality Law issued by Royal Decree 8/92 is hereby amended as follows:

The municipal council consists of the chairman of the municipality and twenty-five members, of whom nine members represent government agencies selected by the heads of their units who hold the rank of director general, and sixteen members representing the wilayat of the Governorate of Muscat.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 31/71 Authorising the Application for the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Membership of Certain International Organisations,

the Banking Law 7/74 and its amendments,

the Articles of Agreement of the International Monetary Fund signed at Bretton Woods on 22 July 1944,

the Board of Governors of the Fund Decision 45/3 Approving the Third Amendment to the Agreement,

and the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman Decision 780/76/3/92/99 Approving the mentioned Amendment,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Third Amendment to the Articles of Agreement of the International Monetary Fund is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 8/80 Issuing the Civil Service Law and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 52/84 Issuing the Executive Regulation of the Civil Service Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A new paragraph is hereby added to article 9 of the mentioned Royal Decree 1/80 with the following text:

The board may also issue special regulations governing the affairs of the officers of the fund.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force as of 1 January 1992.

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

the Banking Law 7 of 1974,

and Royal Decree 64/83 Establishing the Omani Banking Institute,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of article IV of the mentioned Royal Decree 64/83 is hereby replaced with the following text:

The board of directors of the banking institute is hereby formed as follows:

– Two representatives of the Central Bank of Oman appointed by the Executive President of the Central Bank.

One of whom is the chairman of the board and the other the deputy chairman

– A representative of the Ministry of Education appointed by the minister.

Member

– A representative of the Vocational Training Authority appointed by the president of the authority.

Member

– Four representatives of banks appointed by licensed banks.

Members

– The director of the institute or his deputy.

Member and secretary

Article II

All relevant entities shall implement the provisions of this decree, each within its mandates.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

Salem bin Juma bin Said Al-Houti is hereby appointed a member of the Municipal Council of Muscat Municipality in its second term.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

In exception to the provisions of the mentioned Civil Service Law, Omar bin Said bin Salim Al-Marhoon—Director General of the Planning Unit at the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries—is hereby transferred to the special grade.

have decreed as follows

Article I

The membership of the following in the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman must continue until the end of the period specified in the decree appointing them:

Article II
