Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion: Ministerial Decision 146/2021 Issuing the Commercial Companies Regulation

Based on the Commercial Companies Law promulgated by Royal Decree 18/2019,

and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The provisions of the attached Commercial Companies Regulation shall apply.

Article II

All that is contrary to the attached regulation, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Capital Market Authority: Decision 132/2021 Issuing the Principles of Corporate Governance for Companies in Which the Government Owns Shares

Arabic

Based on the Commercial Companies Law promulgated by Royal Decree 18/2019,

 and the approval of the Board of Directors of the Capital Market Authority,

 and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The provisions of the attached principles hereby apply in regard to the governance of companies in which the government owns shares.

Article II

Companies addressed by the provisions of the attached principles shall rectify their status in accordance with their provisions within a period not exceeding 12 (twelve) months from the date of their entry into force. The current boards of directors of companies continue until the end of their term, after which they must be reformed in accordance with the provisions of the attached principles.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decision and the attached principles, or in conflict with their provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decision must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 61/2021 Appointing Non-resident Ambassadors

Arabic We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State, and the Law Governing the Foreign Ministry promulgated by Royal Decree 32/2008, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Abdullah bin Nasser bin Musallam Al-Rahbi, Our ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Djibouti.

Article II

Moosa bin Hamdan bin Moosa Al-Tai, Our ambassador to the United States of America, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Cuba, Canada, and the United Mexican States.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance. Issued on: 22 Safar 1443 Corresponding to: 29 September 2021
