We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Article 8 of the Joint Defence and Economic Co-operation Treaty Between the States of the Arab League, as amended by the Council of the League of Arab States Decision 3552 dated 29 March 1977, pursuant to which the economic and social council was established,

and the protocol issued on 26 March 1959 relating to the conferral of legal personality on the mentioned economic council,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The mentioned amended article 8 of the Joint Defence Treaty, pursuant to which the Economic and Co-operative Council of the League of Arab States was established, is hereby ratified.

Article 2

The mentioned protocol relating to the conferral of legal personality on the economic council stipulated in article 8 is hereby ratified.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

the General Agreement for Economic, Technical, and Commercial Cooperation Among Member States of the Islamic Conference signed on 15 April 1980 in Jeddah,

and Royal Decree 31/80 Authorising the Permanent Representative of the Sultanate to the Organisation of the Islamic Conference to Sign the Mentioned Agreement,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The General Agreement for Economic, Technical, and Commercial Cooperation among Member States of the Islamic Conference is hereby ratified.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.

and the Charter of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) adopted on 8 April 1979 in Vienna,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The mentioned Charter of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is hereby ratified.

Article 2

The Foreign Ministry shall undertake the deposit procedures for ratification in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned charter.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
