Royal Decree 35/2023 Appointing a Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Law Governing the Foreign Ministry promulgated by Royal Decree 32/2008,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Salim Al-Shanfari, Our ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, is hereby appointed a permanent representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

The following are hereby promoted to the rank of Major General:

– Brigadier General Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Bader Al-Mundhari.

– Brigadier General Sultan bin Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Mamari.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 32/2023 Ratifying the Air Services Agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Air Services Agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan signed in Muscat on 15 March 2023,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The aforementioned agreement is hereby ratified in the form attached.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 33/2023 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Protocol Supplementary to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Protocol Supplementary to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft done at Beijing on 10 September 2010,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Protocol Supplementary to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft is hereby approved in the form attached.

Article II

The competent authorities shall deposit the instrument of accession to the aforementioned protocol in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
