Based on the Judicial Authority Law promulgated by Royal Decree 90/99
the Civil and Commercial Procedures Law promulgated by Royal Decree 29/2002
Royal Decrees 61/2006
Establishing Two Primary Circuits for the Administrative Judiciary in Salalah and Sohar,
and Royal Decree 35/2022 regarding the Governance of the Administration of Judicial Affairs
and in pursuance of the interest of work,
it is hereby decided
The geographical jurisdiction of the primary and appeal administrative circuits is hereby specified as follows:
– The Appeal Administrative Circuit of the Court of Appeal in Muscat:
The scope of its jurisdiction shall be all the governorates of the Sultanate.
– The Primary Administrative Circuit of the Primary Court in Muscat:
The scope of its jurisdiction shall be the governorates of Muscat, Dakhiliya, Batinah South, Sharqiyah North, Sharqiyah South, and Wusta.
– The Administrative Circuit of the Primary Court in Salalah:
The scope of its jurisdiction shall be the wilayat of the Governorate of Dhofar.
– The Primary Administrative Circuit of the Primary Court in Sohar:
The scope of its jurisdiction shall be the governorates of Batinah North, Musandam, Buraimi, and Dhahirah.
This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 1 October 2022.
